Champakulam is a small hamlet located in the Kuttanad region. The holy river Pampa winding through the region splits it into two parts. Either side of the river features a lush foliage of coconut palms and paddy fields. Champakulam village is also famous for St Mary’s Forane Church, of the oldest Christian Church which is believed to be built in 427 AD. Another highlight to be enjoyed by the tourist, exploring this place, are the big groups of ducks moving gracefully over the river.
