Malayattoor Travel Guide


Malayattoor is a renowned Christian pilgrimage center lying in the close proximity of Kochi. Situated at a distance of 17 kms the church receives a large number of devotees from all corners of the world. The St. Thomas Church has been recognized as one of the important churches by the Vatican. According to the locals St. Thomas after reaching Kerala held prayers in this auspicious church. The magnificent architecture of the church is based on the Roman style of architecture and its design has been inspired from the Greek buildings. The church is considered to be one of the oldest chruches present in the state of Kerala. 




How To Reach Malayattoor


By Air

The nearest airport to reach Malayattoor is the Cochin International airport located at a distance of 15 kms from the destination. It is one of the busiest airports in the country. The airport receives frequent number of both domestic and international flights from all major cities of the world.

By Train

The nearest railway station to reach Malayattoor  lies at a distance of 17 kms in Cochin. It is one of the major commercial hubs in Kerala and there are trains arriving everyday from all over the country. Another major railway station to reach Malayattoor is Angamaly railway station.

By Road

In order to reach Malayattoor large number of Government buses are available from all the prime cities of Kerala. Frequent buses ply from cities like Chennai, Bangalore and other major cities of the state.  Most of the buses passing  through Cochin connect Malayattoor. On reaching Malayattoor bus terminal one can hire buses and taxis to reach the center of the city. Good road connectivity makes reaching Malayattoor extremely easy.
