On your arrival at Kochi, meet our tour representative and get transferred to Kumarakom. Upon reaching picturesque Kumarakom, check-in at a pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore and enjoy the jade environment of backwaters. Kumarakom is a charming village set on the backdrop of Vembanad Lake. Get back to the hotel, take your dinner and sleep.
On the second day of your glorious Kerala tour, post an unhurried breakfast and straight away travel to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. The sanctuary is paradise for bird enthusiasts, as they get to watch a wide variety of birds. Some of the common birds you can watch here are waterfowl, cuckoo, owl and water duck. Surrounded by lush forests, the Kumarakom bird sanctuary also boasts of migratory birds including Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. On the third day, after morning breakfast you drive to Kovalam. Settled 16km away from the state capital Thiruvananthapuram, Kovalam is a pristine beach town. Thebackdrops of Kovalam, by sharply mounting headlands and the three carved shaped beaches (Lighthouse beach, Hawa beach and the Samudra beach), separated by the stony outcroppings, make for the highlights of this place. The clear water at the beaches with shallow bottoms up to a height of hundred meters makes Kovalam a swimmers’ heaven. Rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight in hotel.
On the fourth day of your glorious Kerala tour, take your breakfast and then head to sightseeing in Kovalam. The first major attraction we take you to is Padmanabhaswamy temple; with Dravidian style of constructions, the shrine is an imitation of the Adikesava Perumal temple in Kanyakumari. The main deity inside the temple is of Lord Vishnu, enshrined in ‘Anantha-Sayanam’ posture.
Further, proceed to Sree Chitra art Gallery- Archaeological Museum; one of the most popular and prime highlights the tour. The art gallery features a unique collection of Indian and modern-day artifacts. It is a perfect place for art lovers. Some of the main attractions of the art gallery include Raja Ravi Verma’s wonderful paintings, Indian mural paintings of early times, Svetlova and Nicholas Roerich, intricate art works of Mughals, Rajasthani’s and Rajputs. On the fifth and last day of you glorious Kerala tour, take your breakfast and check out from the hotel. Straight away travel to Trivandrum airport/train station for your onward journey.
