Angadipuram Temple, popularly known as Bhadrakali Temple, is located on a hillock at a height of 60 ft. The idols placed in the temple closely resemble to those in Kodungallur and feature a slight alteration in height. If the legends are to be believed, Angadipuram Thirumandhamkunnu Bhagavathy was the elder sister of Kodungallur Bhagavathy. Both the temples are commissioned by King Cheraman Perumal. A common belief of the local and devotees is that Madurai Meenakshi, known as Kannagi among the locals, is Goddess of these temples.
